First Days at Home

Just a brief update on Ellen's first few days at home. We have been doing a lot of hanging out at home, trying to get a routine down and just letting Lucy and Ellen get to know eachother. Lucy's affection for her sister has been growing since she came home. She wants to hold her any time she can and also loves to tickle her feet. Yesterday she came up to me holding Ellen, put her arms around us and said 'I love you guys'.
Many of you know that Lucy called Ellen 'Baby Mumpa' for months when she was unnamed in my tummy. This week she came up with a new nick-name for her sister and when she is cuddling with her on the couch, she calls her 'Wubzy'.
Lucy also really wants Ellen to sleep with her in her bed. This is the closest she has gotten.

We have also gone out a few times in our new stroller. Both girls seem to enjoy it. Here is a picture of an evening stroll. Ellen needed a hat and a blanket, so Lucy needed a hat and a blanket. . .

  1. We miss you. It is so nice to be able to check the blog when I am missing you, even though it makes me miss you more. Mindi talks about Lucy and Auntie Becki all the time. The site is great. Love Jim
